Have you broken the rules? In the house

So I’ve sold a few things that i didn’t need and was thinking how I could make my life easier, I’ve tried training the other members of the house and it’s not going so well.
So looking at how I make my life easier I have just orders a second tumble dryer- I ca wash quickly enough but dryer takes for ever. So I’m taking advantage of sale and fortune. But it does feel like I’m breaking the rules- I have the space the money and the need, so I shouldn’t give a fig frankly I don’t.
However I wondered if there were any other tricks I’m missing that could make my life easier. Grin

Erm the environment??

Surely you can't have that much washing that you need two dryers on the go? Can't you dry stuff outside?

Reddedder · 28/04/2019 17:57

I’d buy another tumble dryer if I had the room tbh

BigStripeyBastard · 28/04/2019 18:09

What Flowers said. Think of the environment.
Get a clothes horse instead and use that. Nobody needs two tumble dryers.

LookImAHooman · 28/04/2019 18:13

Surely if you’re going to have one, just get a more efficient dryer?

Knittedfairies · 28/04/2019 18:14

How many people live in your household?

MostIneptThatEverStepped · 28/04/2019 18:42

The Lakeland heated washing stand is really great, if you don't already have one. I'd take that over a tumble dryer any day.

TheQueef · 28/04/2019 18:45

Your leccy bill?
Dry outside of a maiden.
Two dishwashers however sounds eminently sensible.

Singlenotsingle · 28/04/2019 18:57

I'd rather have 2 dishwashers...

MrsMozartMkII · 28/04/2019 18:59

Ditto the Lakeland heated thingy. Brilliant!

As for breaking the roolz - I makes them so they mine to break Grin

PCohle · 28/04/2019 19:02

There are lots of fun, harmless ways to "break the rules" but running two tumble dryers in a normal family just seems like total disregard for the environment. It's not something I'd be gleeful about.

KindergartenKop · 28/04/2019 20:59

Do you have 6 kids?

KindergartenKop · 28/04/2019 20:59

Also gave you tried giving your wash an extra spin before drying?

ShirleyPhallus · 28/04/2019 21:00

How big is your family that you need two tumble driers?!

Crunchymum · 28/04/2019 21:10

Double spin and dehumidifier.

mydpisabitcrap · 28/04/2019 21:14

I don't see having an extra dryer is worse for the environment? Apart from the manufacturing impact that is. I imagine OP just does the same amount of drying as before only it gets done and put away twice as fast. Makes sense to me.

hopeishere · 29/04/2019 06:27

How much washing do you do?? Although I hate wet washing draped all over the place!
