Why do some black jeans smell so bad?

And is there a way to get rid of it?

Not all black jeans, I usually buy in M&S and have never noticed it, but recently bought a pair in Peacocks and as soon as they get warm as I wear them, they stink! It's definitely the jeans and not me! A kind of plastic/chemical/very synthetic smell.

I've washed them 3 times so far but they still smell just as bad as soon as I wear them, has anyone found an effective way to get rid of it?

As a black Jean officianado I'd say give up and chuck em. If they smell it never really goes away. I've tried everything over the years and if anything the best you can hope is to disguise it and even that wears off. Only when grey and knackered looking will they cease smelling of wet dog.

Primark can be awful for it. Dorothy perkins frankie are ok. Always sniff before you buy.

I'm on the verge of just chucking them so nothing to lose with the zoflora idea, I'll give it a go over the weekend. Will definitely be sniffing all future jeans before buying now!
