Are these people genuine ?

Evening mumsnetters,
I am moving next week to Newport and just posted on a facebook buy and sell page for recommendations for a handyperson to help with some flatpack furniture when I move.
So, I've had lots of replies and a lot of them saying they will help me for free and 'just message me anytime' sort of thing. (mainly women and a couple of men).
I'm moving with my three children and am on my own and it's all a bit overwhelming. (we've bought the property and it's been a nightmare so I'm also a bit stressed).
I originally come from the midlands but have lived in London and west country for the past few years. I just don't think anyone would do that here.
I know it may sound awful to some but should I just take it as they genuinely want to help or should I be wary if I don't know these people?

Thanks for the replies. I did have a look at one of their profiles and they only have 2 friends.

Of course they will help you for free, they'll carry your valuables to the local pawn shop so you don't have to.

Ignore them, they will just scam you. Xx

I’ve seen your post and I was about to comment.. I would be very wary about people offering their services for free.
