Hiring a cleaner

We have finally decided to go ahead and hire a cleaner. We both work full time, busy and stressful jobs and with 3 children and pets cannot keep on top of everything. We don’t need someone to come and do the daily surface cleaning as we stay on top of that ourselves quite well but we want someone to come and do the jobs that get missed every now and again.

Thinking windows cleaned inside, bathroom tiles, fronts of cupboards and kitchen units, polishing chrome switches, bleaching toilets, skirting boards etc. Maybe oven cleaning if they do that.

It’s a 4 bed house with main bathroom, en-suite and toilet downstairs. New build that we’ve not long lived in so fairly clean but want to keep it that way.

How many hours and how often do you think we will need? I’m aware it will take someone else longer than it takes me but all jobs won’t need doing every single time, skirting boards could be every other visit for example, oven as and when is needed etc. Have no clue what we are asking for as never contemplated this before. Need to make sure it’s affordable or lower what we want doing.
