Well-written fan fiction recommendations?

Is there any that works even if you’re not into a particular book/film - you can still appreciate the writing? Haven’t got time to read much of length at the moment but sometimes ff can be good short stories or little snapshots.

Hmm - the problem with fanfiction (and I write for a couple of different fandoms) is that if you're not particularly into the book/film etc, you might not follow all nuances. FF writers don't tend to explain backstories or characteristics.

There are lots of good writers out there, a fair few excellent one and a thousand and one dire writers.

If you've got a favourite tv show/film etc, I'd start there :)

I love Fabularasa ‘s Dc universe stuff, but she writes some other ones. She’s a genuinely talented writer and a new story from her feels like such a treat.

Mostly Supernatural and The Musketeers (BBC) but also the A-Team and a tiny foray into TeenWolf (TV). I can recommend some stories if you like any of those - not all mine either!

I haven't written for a while though, it's something I've been meaning to get back into.

Iambuffy

In Spades - a very, very old one but one of my absolute favourites.

Bay of Fire - a fabulous adventure story.

Puppetmaster - same author as above and another cracker.

Mistakes were Made - a longer one to really get your teeth into, another great adventure.

Better the Devil - one of IrisMay's stories, a really good writer and I highly recommend all of her stories.

Six Days - this one is mine (couldn't help but slip it in)

These are all older stories as I don't tend to save to my favourites these days so the newer canon isn't reflected but I love these just the same.
