Puddlesuits or waterproof dungarees

Hi,

I've picked my DS from nursery today and have been asked to get DS some waterproofs. The nursery is very outdoorsy and has its own forest so he soaked through all his changes of clothes and was wearing the nursery items when I picked him up.

I'm having a look and I'm a bit lost as to what to get. Puddle-suits always look a bit bulky to me as he will be climbing trees etc but wasn't sure if they're better than the dungarees

What do you have?

Thank you

Dungarees all the way with waterproof coat on top. Easier to change nappy or go to look. My son loves his!

All in one puddle suit. I saw them I’m Matalan today.

I always prefer dungarees, but both my son’s outdoor nursery and a forest school we use in the holidays, always say that puddlesuits keep children drier and easier for them, when it comes to putting them on/off. Regatta make some pretty cheap and very waterproof ones.

I think dungarees are more versatile, as they're less sweaty, and you can wear them with a thick coat when it's too cold for a puddle suit. And they last longer before they're grown out of.
And you can still wear them on days when you don't even need a coat without overheating (they are great for trips to the park when it's rained overnight and the slide is wet!)

It depends if it's dirty or just wet. If just wet then waterproof dungarees and coat. If dirty then puddle suit or you'll be forever washing the coat.

I have these https://www.sportsdirect.com/gelert-waterproof-suit-infants-448398?colcode=44839818&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIr9LGu8Tu4QIVh813Ch1phQthEAQYASABEgLn8DD_BwE for both my dc's. They wear a onesie and layers underneath when it's cold, or if it's warm but raining/ has rained in the park they can whack them on over any clothing. I have theirs under the pram always and it doesn't matter if they get really muddy or whatever, they just go through a quickwash and dry in minutes over the bath.
