How to make my house look clean

I’ve swept and mopped, dusted, cleaned the kitchen surfaces and bathroom, wiped down skirting boards and fire surround, yet still nothing is sparkling clean. I want to see some results for my work, rather than just have a house that looks ok. What am I doing wrong? Any tips?

Please don't use microfibre cloths. They release plastic particles into the water system. Just use an old rag eg cut up something that is too old to go to the charity shop. Very old towels are perfect.

Clean item first, leave to dry. Go over with vinegar spray and soft cloth. Everything sparkles.

Enidbutton how heavy is the Karcher window vac if you don't mind me asking? ( Presumably you have to lift it above your head quite a bit and my upper arm strength is crap. )

My late mother's house used to gleam! She always used industrial clear vinegar.
