14 year old and drugs

I really need some sensible advice please!

We've had a tough couple of years with my teenage son, I've posted about him before but he's had anxiety and mental health issues, running away, police involvement and other things.

I have one of his Instagram accounts logged in on my phone and saw some messages come through last night. He was deleting them immediately and I didn't see his responses. The messages said:
"Heard you wanted some bud"
"(Name) is the guy who gets me customers"
"Ok hmu when you get the money"

Now I'm not as green as I'm cabbage looking and am pretty sure this is a set up for buying drugs. To make sure a younger colleague of mine has messaged this guy to ask for weed and he's said yeah where and when.

Son is now away with grandparents until Sunday so I've got a couple of days to work out how to deal with this!

Any advice at all?

Be honest and open with him - tell him you've seen the messages. Talk about the risks and consequences.

I began smoking at 14. I’m not sure there is much you can do apart from approach it calmly. He’s probably got a legalisation defence at the ready.
My parents caught me, were dead against it but it didn’t stop me, I just went elsewhere to smoke.
Very tricky one to approach as whatever you decide will prob have a minimal affect.
Good luck!
