Are there any names you don't like purely because of who you knew with those names?

I hate the name Judith. Although when I actually think about it I think it is a perfectly pleasant and nice name. But I have only known two people called Judith and they were both horrible women.
Are there any names that you don't like ONLY because you knew someone with that name 2ho you did not like?

Wow, Emily has come up a lot!

Most Jenny’s and Jennifer’s I’ve known have been really nice.

I know 2 Lornas and related to 2 Donna’s. Both nice.

Emma, Charlene, Sophie.
All mean and normally unhinged to boot.

All the Dan's I've met have been unfaithful, so I associate that as a "player" name.

My name's been mentioned a bit, and I can live with that!

Sian a stuck up nasty bitch who was miss popular in school but looks 50 now at 34 but still walks around with her nose in the air.

Every Kelly I've known has been an evil vindictive cow (and I've known a few)!

happymummy12345 · 26/04/2019 19:41

There are a good few for me.

MrsSiriusBlack1 · 26/04/2019 19:44

Lucy Angryannoying and vindictive and usually vile little gossips

All Emmas and Rachels I have worked with or been to school with have been two faced. It is just a coincidence and I am sure there are many lovely ladies of those names but none have ever crossed my path.

Suzi / Sue / Susie and variants have all proved to be social butterflies who will drop you as soon as something else comes along.

itstrue · 27/04/2019 02:40

Layla. Biggest bitch in the world.

Topseyt · 27/04/2019 03:06

Marina for me. She was a horrendous workplace bully. She was very arrogant too and thought she was wonderful.

Discobabe98 · 27/04/2019 03:20

Maggie. Horrible manager

Alex. Crazy narcissist who was obsessed with me and couldn’t understand why I didn’t like them back

Mia. Bitch

Bethany. Girl in secondary school who used to be best friends with then turned horribly possessive and fell out with Grin

And David. They’re all dicks

Poppins2016 · 27/04/2019 03:31

Chloe.

swimmerforlife · 27/04/2019 05:28

Abigail, awful bully at Secondary School and I worked with another one who was a rude cow.

Florence, another bully.

Scott, my dick of an uncle.

heeblejeeble · 27/04/2019 06:07

Hannah - has already been mentioned twice here so can't be just me that can't get along with people called Hannah?
People often forget my name and call me Hannah too so I think that adds to the hatred. (My name is Hayley and actually I am not fond of any other Hayley's around either)

MsTSwift · 27/04/2019 08:27

I haven’t met a normal Lorna. Stephanie’s are prickly and aggressive.

Never met an unpleasant Kate or Sally though.

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 27/04/2019 09:15

@amandacarnet not you Grin

Ooh..unless of course it is you!

Crunchymum · 27/04/2019 09:23

For me it is Jodie, Debbie, Danielle and Laura.

These are all names of people who I have very negative associations with (I find the names all very "of their time" too. Apart from Laura which is quite nice but the one we know is a fucking maniac!!)

NorthernRunner · 27/04/2019 09:27

Yes I have worked in childcare and education for 13yrs, good lord does it put you off names.

It’s funny because I very firmly believe that no one owns a name, but if you have a disliking or a bad experience of someone with that name, it can really strongly turn you off.

Georgiemcgeorgeface · 27/04/2019 09:34

There are whole towns I don't like because someone I don't like lives there Grin

weleasewoderick22 · 27/04/2019 09:36

Tyler, never met one who wasn't a knob.

MsTSwift · 27/04/2019 09:46

We have sadly had bad experiences with girls called Grace. Each dd has an unpleasant (and far from Graceful ahem) Grace in their lives. Name ruined!

JuniorAsparagus · 27/04/2019 09:56

Charlotte. Horrible Scottish woman probably in her 70s now.
We also lived opposite a particularly nasty child called Charlotte.

Eustasiavye · 27/04/2019 10:02

Paula.
Connor.

Approx40yearsofPMT · 27/04/2019 10:04

For others who have mentioned Hannah - I hate it too and although I know one really lovely, brilliant Hannah, the others I’ve known (quite a few of all ages) have been brittle and unpleasant. My best friend has just called her baby Hannah and I’m genuinely sad about it because I hate the name and the associations so much. Which is bloody ridiculous of me, I know Grin

WatchingTheWheels85 · 27/04/2019 10:07

Also lacey every child I have met called this has been spiteful.
