Are there any names you don't like purely because of who you knew with those names?

I hate the name Judith. Although when I actually think about it I think it is a perfectly pleasant and nice name. But I have only known two people called Judith and they were both horrible women.
Are there any names that you don't like ONLY because you knew someone with that name 2ho you did not like?

All the Lisas and Jennys I know are lovely.

Donna, Anne-Marie and Lorna. All mean girls at school.

Aaron - I'm a teacher and have disliked them all!

Lesley and Susan. Of all the Susan's and Lesley's I know I don't like one of them.
Also Emily as every school I have been has had a least one Emily that is a bully.

I think everyone has names like this. Mine are Melanie, Emma and Alison.

Doreen, Doris, Dorothy, Elsie, Mabel, Betty - old ladies I've cared for, could never see these as young names

If you are a teacher or were bullied at school you would have names in mind. It doesn't mean all people with that name are horrible. it's just answering OPs question in your experience. Of course your own name or DC names or lovely friends could share that name.

I worked as a waitress with a horrible Irish girl called Ashling a very long time ago. I have since met many nice Ashlings but Awful Ashling from Offaly has ruined the name for me.

I have more names that I love because of who they remind me of. Including Judith, Amanda, Jenny and many others mentioned here.

Laura. She was sick in my lunch box at junior school.

My name has been mentioned on here and I am lovely :)
Of course there are lovely and horrible people with the same name. But if you are unlucky enough to have known two or three horrible people with the same name, it does tend to put you off that name.
We all have certain associations with certain names.
So to me Michael is always associated with good looking sexy men, simply because I have known two michaels well like this. Obviously it does not mean all michaels are sexy and good looking.

The name candice iv only ever met 1 and she was the biggest 2 faced bitch Iv ever came across every time I hear the name I growl 🤣
