I’d like to book in June staying on a Thursday night with admission to the park on the Friday.

Party of 5 , 4 adult tickets 1 child (DC is 11 so tall enough and loves thrill rides)

I’ve found the above for £387 inc breakfast with a thrill ticket but can’t seem to see what that is and i’m not sure if that includes using the splash part of the hotel, what time that closes etc

It also offered my an upgrade to the dungeon experience (DC are 16, 14 & 11) is that worth paying extra for or will the thrill rides be enough to try and fit in without extras?

Any help with prices, good deals etc and how to book online would be very much appreciated.

I appreciate we are taking the DC out of school for 2 days, never done it before but it’s a throw verything in to the wind and thank fuck that is over treat for all of us due to a personal issue.

Would you want to go again? Annual passes plus two rooms in a premier inn 16 miles away would only only cost £350.

MyDcAreMarvel · 25/04/2019 21:24

For five annual passes to Alton Towers.

CheekyFuckersDontGetPastMe · 25/04/2019 21:26

No, it’s a one off. But that is a very good rate for the passes!

If you want to stay at one of the Alton Towers' hotels check out how much you can save on the rate by buying one annual pass.

Sometimes it's 40% off. The annual pass holder can buy up to five £15 tickets per day I think.

We had a day trip there last week. Had a fantastic time. Didn't stay over but near by.

Found this, you need to pay extra for the splash park.

Can anyone help me book an over night stay at Alton towers please?
JollyAndBright · 25/04/2019 21:31

Entrance to the waterpark is extra, I think around £15 pp
It can be booked as an extra or booked separately.
You can just pay on the day but I recommend booking.

We love dungeons usually (we live near York so have been to York dungeons a few times and London and Edinburgh) but I was really disappointed with the AT dungeons after having to pay extra to go in, it was good but not a touch on the proper dungeons and we definitely won’t do it again.

The rides will definitely be enough, with queue times and breaks for drinks/food/a wander around the gardens you can easily fill a whole day with a only couple of goes on everything.

Which accommodation are you looking at?
The stargazing pods or one of the hotels?

I can’t find anything about thrill tickets so I’m not sure what that is, some kind of fast pass maybe?

madasamarchhare · 25/04/2019 21:54

Personally, I’d collect the Kellogg’s vouchers (or whichever brand is doing the offer at the moment) and buy tickets as buy one get one free. I appreciate you’ll still have to buy3 but still way cheaper. Then I’d book a local premier inn. V comfy, loads nearby, usually a good restaurant attached. If you haven’t done AT before I doubt you’ll get time to do all the rides and the dungeon in a day and you’ll never get to the water park unless you do that as an extra day. The park is massive and takes ages to get from one end to the other even when using the sky ride. Time you factor in eating and queuing your day will be fab but will go so fast. Is there a particular reason for wanting to stay at AT hotel? If not I’d stay nearby and save my cash!

CheekyFuckersDontGetPastMe · 25/04/2019 21:58

ItWas I’ve tried to book what you posted but I’m getting £420 plus £78.50 to book the splash park?

Really appreciate all the help.

Thank you Mad hadn’t even 5hough about staying off site, assumed we would need someth8ng to do in the evening, not sure what time the park closes?

Wish I had more time to look in to it properly, that’s why I posted here for help.

I’ll have a look at Kellogg’s and look at booking seperatly if there isn’t a fantastic on site all singing all dancing deal to be had.

We need a simple, no hassle, not too much traveling after the initial set off day to have some fun.

I’ve written off the dungeon and most possibly the splash park unless that opens till late at night for our teens?

I've just looked again and it's still that price. Same dates?

CheekyFuckersDontGetPastMe · 25/04/2019 22:08

Unfortunately, yes.

OP open private browsing before you book. If you’ve been looking at it a lot the greedy CFs will have hiked the prices.

FortyFacedFuckers · 25/04/2019 22:13

If you stay at the park you usually get 2 days entry to the theme park

tobermoryisthebestwomble · 25/04/2019 22:14

I done suppose any of the party are NHS staff? Health service discounts do a generous discount including the hotels but you have to phone

donajimena · 25/04/2019 22:17

If you go into the waterpark after 530 its half price. Make sure you book an evening meal or you have to eat the stodgy crap in the splash landings hotel.

gingajewel · 25/04/2019 22:28

Op splash landings shuts between 4-6 depending on the day so not worth it, it is totally separate to the park and your children will probably have loads to do in the park so I wouldn’t bother with it. I’m sure the Alton towers hotel allows you two days in the park, if you ring them though they are really helpful. Tbh there isn’t a lot to do on the night time even if you stay in the hotel, it may be worth looking at a premiere inn somewhere close and then buying tickets online seperatly just for the Friday.
If you want to stay in the Alton towers hotel I think you have got a good price for it.

gingajewel · 25/04/2019 22:32

Just checked op and with the hotel it is a two day ticket, I think the price you are getting the package for is brilliant but I would be inclined to go early on the Thursday so you get two full days in the park, if you are going in term time it should be pretty quiet so you should get on all the rides you want too but there is enough to keep you going for two days.
With the hotel you also get a free game of crazy golf which is fun for an hour and I also just remembered there is entertainment at the hotel but don’t no anything about it so don’t no if it will be any good for you. I would book it!

gingajewel · 25/04/2019 22:34

Sorry one more thing you can book the dungeons on the day if you want to do them so I wouldn’t book!

CheekyFuckersDontGetPastMe · 26/04/2019 08:16

Thank you, I’ll try the private browser as well
