Shelbie from Born To Be Different has died...

😔 😔 😔 😔.
I've watched from the beginning. So sad for her family. Such a brave young lady.

How very sad, I also followed that programme from the start, my DS was born at the same time. One of the families lived near us & I occasionally saw them out and about, once dared to speak to the mum and had a lovely chat, I hadn’t wanted to seem obtrusive but she seemed to welcome the chat.

Oh no. How very sad.

Wee soul. Her DM was an inspiration. RIP Shelbie.

Very sad - there was a thread about her death a couple of days ago and one of the children came on the thread to say they had filmed another series - I'll try to find it...

Asked to put a message on from Vicki, Shelbies mum-

Shelbie was sent 19 years ago to teach.
Her subject-LOVE
Her skills - To break through IGNORANCE
Her goal- To get everyone else to ACCEPT and to LOVE.
She succeeded with flying colours and once she had fulfilled her role she was ready to go home.
Then she got a call, offering her a promotion - she deserved it so she took it.
So on the evening of 13th April shelbie got promoted to Heaven leaving earth to be with her Father.
Shelbie was the kind of girl that whoever was blessed to meet her would never forget her. We are so so proud to be her parents and feel so blessed to have been chosen for the job, we were given so many amazing and funny memories - all we safely locked in our hearts.
We will always thank God for the life He gave us with her and we know He will carry us in the coming months as we get used to our precious soul not smiling at us everyday, not causing the mischief she did- but there will never be regrets, only gratefulness for what God gave us for so long.
