Help me remember something from my childhood

I'm guessing you'll probably need to be in your 40s for this one.

I was struck with a sudden memory yesterday and have had a Google and can't find what I'm looking for.

I remember these little craft/art/activity sets, they were quite good quality rather than cheap tat, it was a real treat to get one. They came in red packaging, I think, and the logo was a couple of little cartoon faces, possibly Romulus and Remus?

Am I imagining these, or does anyone else remember them?

Hmm, I'm 50 and was a very crafty child, but these ring no bells whatsoever!

BawbagBiggins · 25/04/2019 19:19

Was it not actually called Remus or Mr Remus.

Nnnnnineteen · 25/04/2019 19:19

This one is green but most of the ones I was bought were red. Loved them.

Uncle Remus rings a bell.

I remember them, definitely a treat. They were great.

I remember them! We always got one as a treat when we went to Little Chef. No idea why they were sold there Confused

isabellerossignol · 25/04/2019 19:26

That had been driving me mad.

I remember a local shop that sold them. They hung on one of those stands that turns round and round. I was always browsing the stand and begging my mum for one.

I was bought one of many throughout my childhood) in Kirkudbright in 1983 - no idea why I've anyways remembered that particular purchase

Hookinghappy · 25/04/2019 19:28

I can remember getting them at Little Chef too.

isabellerossignol · 25/04/2019 19:30

I'm from N Ireland and we didn't have Little Chef here. But we used to go to England regularly, by car, to visit relatives, and I was weirdly fascinated by Little Chef. It was the first place I ever ate a fried egg. Grin More fond memories.
