What would your pub be called?

If I was ever the owner of a pub I would call it "The Velvet Goose" - Velvet sounds vaguely luxurious, and Goose just sounds sort of....pubby! I would decorate it in velvety paisley pattern material for the booths/seats, high tables would be old whisky barrels, I would have those retro "flying ducks" wall decorations, and I would serve paper umbrellas in all the drinks - even the Guiness! The Fly and Mustard. No idea why, it was the first thing that popped into my head when I read your title! I doubt we'd do a roaring trade in food...

Hole in the wall.
It's a very small (imaginary) pub though, 10 people maximum.

Leather and Burlap. I would cater to the hipster more money than sense crowd and everything would be served on old vinyl records and be organic and locally sourced. Hoppy, rank, sour beer.

I would make a bloody fortune and then change the pub to be called The Queens Arms and be a little old people's pub with darts, people nursing pints and the smell of tobacco and stale beer. I LOVED places like that when I was younger and chatting to people who'd lived there for years.

@dobbysleftsock I seen a pub in Fort William last month called "The Grub and Grule" and queried how good a trade they done in food Grin I think the Fly and Mustard is a bit more appetising haha!

Making me think of the Peep Show episode when Superhans wants to call the pub The Swan and Paedo.

@Queef 10 people max? Sounds like my kind of place! Smile
