How do you develop staying power and stop procrastinating?!

Today the kids went back to school, and I wrote a list last night of all the work tasks I have to do.

I went to costa after drop off then came home and put music Chanel on while I started my tasks. I flipped to a tv show which I watched instead. I did a few more work tasks while checking social media, I decided I wasn’t focusing so I read my book (on the importance of perseverance!) I texted my ex, I made lunch. I put the music channel back on. I’ve been to the loo 100000 times. I’m writing this.

Seriously!!! How do you just focus?!? I’m self employed so my income directly relates to the effort I put in..... I’m not usually this bad, but I’m never great.

How do you become the sort of person who’s mind doesn’t just wander off?!

Give yourself more to do. Ironically, the more is on your list, the more you will get done. Time expands or contracts depending on the amount of time needed to complete something - if you have a whole day to complete two minor tasks, you are more likely to procrastinate, but when you have an hour to get three things done you automatically prioritise and work through them.

All time-saving principles build on this.
