Any Cardiff kids day out suggestions?

I want to buy a gift for a friend (group of us clubbing together) and was thinking of family membership for somewhere she can take her 6 and 4 year old... thinking like greenwood in Snowdonia or hobbledown farm in South East. Anyone got any recommendations?

I second Techniquest!! I used to love our school trips there. It's also in Cardiff Bay which means once they've been they can take a walk along the bay.
