Could stress be causing these symptoms?

Fairly frequently I have days where I wake up and constantly need to open my bowels through the day. Also feel cold, very anxious, easily startled and nauseous. I don’t have a temperature at all, it’s just a collection of really debilitating symptoms which occur at least twice a week. I’m also having huge problems sleeping which is very frustrating.
My DM thinks I might have irritable bowel syndrome as I am under huge stress all of the time. Yesterday I hardly ate at all, just stuck to water and although the trips to the loo have stopped, I feel so nauseous. I have acid reflux so I wonder if that could be causing the nausea. But I just don’t know what’s going on. I feel as though I’m very anxious because of various family problems but would that cause these different symptoms?

Go and see your GP.
Get well soon

Agree, make an appointment with your GP and tell her/him everything you have said here. Even if it is all related to stress (which I have no idea about), you need help with it.

Thanks Willow, I know that I should go to see my GP. I’ll try to get one for tomorrow.
