Anyone a book keeper from home?

I really need to get a job working from home. Without going into too much private detail i’m a LP (dad not around) I don’t have a support system. I have dc one of which is registered disabled. Due to this there is no care in the school holidays for him and youngest is coming up to secondary so too old for holiday clubs etc. This means Iv has to work term time only jobs. I get carers allowance for disabled child so helps bump my very poor minimum wage pay. If I could work from home I could work all year round and this will help get me off benefits etc. They don’t need any care as such if I was working from home but I can’t leave them together on their own so that isn’t an option.

Iv looked for ages and can’t find anything working from home. Ideally I’d like to not be self employed. I used to work in insurance but since having children I work in education in an office. I can do all admin work of course but haven’t found anything and don’t want to set up self employed virtual assistant or anything as I need constant regular money. Could I be a book keeper? What sort of qualifications do you need? Is it feasible to do this in my situation? I’m trying to also think to the future, in a few years I won’t get any help (tax credits etc) and currently not paying into a pension due to my poor and low wage. Any ideas?
