I have no idea what's going on. My copper coil came out the day before my period was due, but I don't know if it had worked its way down before that. My period is now 2 days late and I usually would have had 2/3 days of spotting before my period arrived, so before the coil came out, but nothing. To add to this, 2 months ago I had 7 weeks of continuous bleeding and cramping. I had an ultrasound and everything looked fine including the coil being positioned correctly. The only explanation they could offer was that it was the coil causing it so I was planning to have it removed anyway.
I'm concerned that this could all be a sign of Perimenopause. I'm in my early 30s but it's not impossible. I'll make an appointment with the GP and hope that they'll send me for a blood test to check hormone levels.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? I just want to know what's going on.
