Looking for recommendations of lovely hotels, but not too 'posh' so that they feel unwelcoming.
A two or three night stay, somewhere easily accessible by train from NorthWest.
A special treat for Golden Wedding Anniversary.
All help gratefully received - I know I could google, but nothing beats a personal recommendation.
