Inspired by the 'things wrong with Peppa Pig' thread...

Can we talk about how Sylvanian Families have horse-drawn carriages? Is this some sort of slavery thing?

AFAIK there doesn't seem to be a clothes-wearing horse family, but there are horses, carriages and stables in the catalogue. I can't find any other websites questioning this, and that seems weird...

This brings up lots of questions about anthropomorphised animal toys and TV shows.
For instance how come Bing fucking bunny has pet cats, dogs and squirrels?
Hey duggee also has a pet cat.
If we want to go really deep with this it could be an allegory about how all animals should not be enslaved/ owned.

My nightmare in life is dressing the Sylvanians. Their teeny tiny little clothes are so fiddly. DD loves to strip them naked but then can't manage to re-dress them, so orders me to do it.

Not Sylvanians, but Disney. So Goofy is a dog, a peer of Mickey and Donald, what does that make poor old Pluto? Is he some form of lesser dog? And Donald, with his anger issues, he doesn't wear trousers, yet wraps a towel round his waist after a bath and blushes if he loses it! And those nephews! Where's their parents? That made me think of when I used to work with horses and we had to clean out the horses willies (yes, really) [shudder]..... I shan't go into details, some of you could be innocently having a late evening snack .

He looks like he wants out... or a penis clean, I can't tell which (ha ha!!). There's an element of pain in his eyes that's for sure.
