What's your typical day like with a 3/4 month old?

My baby has always been clingy but now he's 13 weeks old he's not sleeping as much in the day and still clingy but getting very heavy!
He seems to want to stand a lot but my arms kill after a short while.
He has a play mat and a jumperoo (already!) but both only keep him entertained for 5 minutes until he wants me again.
What's your typical day like with a 3/4 month old and what do you do to keep them entertained?

My baby’s nearly 4 months.

She wakes up around 5-6am at which point DH takes her and reads to her/plays with her for a couple of hours while I sleep. Then I take over again when he goes to work.

Most of the day is a cycle of feed, nappy change, sleep and play, not in that order. She sleeps for about half an hour in the morning and 1-2 hours in the afternoons then another nap later if I can get her to!

When we play, we go on her playmat or activity gym thing and play with rattly toys etc. I have a baby sensory fabric thing I draped over her. We read lots of baby books (her favourite is Jungly Tails, highly recommended!) or play with this toy called a rainmaker.

Generally I narrate whatever I am doing in the background so I’m talking to her a lot.

She is too heavy for me to carry all the time so I do lay her down or prop her up on cushions, but I am generally always paying her attention (which is knackering but otherwise she cries). So in summary I’d say mine is about the same as yours! No jumparoo yet though.

Ha I narrate everything I do too! And do various weird dances and noises throughout the day - neighbours must think I'm nuts!

Ds2 is 4 months and I spend very little time entertaining him. I have ds1 (22 months) at home too so pretty much all my time is spent divided between the two of them based on who needs me most. The baby is usually happy sat in his chair or jumperoo for a bit watching what is going on, or sat on my lap while I do things with ds1. We are out quite a lot at groups or at the park and the baby is usually asleep in his pram or sat on my lap at a group watching everything.
