What is this hook bit on my bra for?

DH suggested it might be if you wanted to hook the two straps together to make a racer back style, but it's on the outside so that wouldn't work.

It's only on this bra, all other bras are hook- free.

Any ideas??

To hook to the strap of your top.

if you are wearing a scrappy vest type thing you could hook it to that so it tools under the other strap? I don't know just guessing

That would make sense, but it's only on one side.

Could it be a piece of the plastic ring that didn't get trimmed off in the manufacturing process?

To make a racer back by clipping onto the opposite strap - it has probably twisted in the wash to the outside of the strap rather than the inside.

I thought those hooks were for racer-style backs, but I’ve never tried them!

Yes, it's to make a racer back bra - you hook it on to the plastic bit on the other strap.

The hook has worked its way to the wrong side: just slide it round through the loop of fabric, then you can use it to clip the two straps together to make a racer back.

Well this is a game changer. I've twisted it round to the middle and can hook it onto the other strap. I have two tops I rarely wear because they're racer back style and I don't like going bra-less but now I can wear them. Who knew!

For snagging my clothes and digging right into my shoulder blade when I lay down on the floor to do jelly on a plate with DC.
