Could I be pregnant?

StoopidCoopid · 22/04/2019 18:28

I have NC for this.

I had sex on the 23rd and 24th March.

I started my period on the 10th March.

I have not yet had a period in April. I have had a couple of symptoms which could either be pregnancy or period related.

I know nobody can tell me and the only answer is for my to POAS.

But I'm interested to hear if people think it's possible?

Thanks!

Yes you could be

NoBaggyPants · 22/04/2019 18:30

You have had sex. Of course it is possible.

StoopidCoopid · 22/04/2019 18:30

Thanks for your response. Is it likely?

Would you say I am really late? Ie my period is regularly on the 10th and I haven't yet had a period on April.

Are you a post-pubescent female? Have you had sexual intercourse on the past 42 weeks or so?

If the answer to both of these is yes, you could be pregnant.

Grin

Hope you get the result you want but, yeah- you need a stick to pee on.

StoopidCoopid · 22/04/2019 18:32

Thanks, sorry, I realise that bit is a stupid question, I am trying to be vague!

He 'pulled out' reliably both times. (I know this is not a contraceptive method)

I guess the question should be - how likely is it that I am pregnant?

I have always been regular and never missed a period. I count that I am almost 2 weeks late.

Well you had sex on days 13 and 14 of your cycle which would be the most fertile days if you have an average length cycle.
But it was long enough a go now that you’d definitely test positive if you test and you are, so no need to think about it.
Only you can know if you’re late.

QueenBeex · 22/04/2019 18:42

I've always been regular with my periods, however this month I was 2 weeks late. I've never been more than 3 days late before. I put it down to the fact I've started working out more lately, I've changed my diet slightly, and I've been around female family members during the Easter holidays so maybe our hormones are bouncing from eachother. So yes you could be pregnant, anyone that has sex unprotected could be pregnant of course. But like I said being late doesn't definitely mean that, as I found out going from regular periods to being over 2 weeks late for the first time...and definitely not pregnant. So it could also be many other reasons for it. If you want a definite answer do a test, or you could wait another week or so and see if you're just simply late

StoopidCoopid · 22/04/2019 18:55

Thanks. I seem to think its probably something environmental related, since he pulled out both times. Probably just a coincidence. I will give it a week and then test.

Cookit · 22/04/2019 19:32

Why a week? Why not just test tomorrow?

Approx40yearsofPMT · 22/04/2019 19:33

If day pretty likely as you had sex on the most fertile days of your cycle. Test tomorrow - the sooner you know the better.

Doesthiscountasausername · 22/04/2019 19:34

Your two weeks late and had unprotected sex. I think you know the answer. POAS

CherryPavlova · 22/04/2019 19:35

You’re not being serious are you? You can’t be this daft, surely?

Noonooyou · 22/04/2019 19:38

Yes you could be pregnant. You had unprotected sex. I hope you get the result you want.

MaverickSnoopy · 22/04/2019 19:39

DH had VERY drunk sex and he was inside at the very beginning of intercourse for about 10 seconds before pulling out (I was also outside of my fertile window). This resulted in dd2. A happy surprise as we were planning on ttc a few months later but good job we were.

From what you have said it sounds like you're pregnant and sticking your head in the sand. Take a test and then you will know and can move forwards. No point in waiting a week if you're two weeks late already.

DantesInferno · 22/04/2019 19:46

Oh ffs, you're 2 weeks late and you've had sex

wellhonestly · 22/04/2019 19:49

OMG POAS OP!!! Why would you wait? xxx

Flyingaddict · 22/04/2019 20:01

Why don’t you just do a test?

StoopidCoopid · 22/04/2019 20:32

I dont know really, I dont drink alcohol or smoke so if I am pregnant the baby would not be at risk!

I guess I dont really believe I can be pregnant, since he 100% pulled out both times. I know this is not a reliable 'method' but I did read a lot of positive stories when done 100% correctly.

I do sound a bit stupid, given. I have never had a 'scare' before. All I know is that any baby I have, now or in the future, will be loved unconditionally and will never want for a thing.

I guess I'll try and get a test at my break tomorrow!

StoopidCoopid · 22/04/2019 21:42

Thank you, I will do!

I am convinced I'll be posting in a few days that I've come on!

BoomTish · 22/04/2019 21:56

OP, are you very young? Do you have support around you? Would a pregnancy be good or bad news for you?

StoopidCoopid · 22/04/2019 22:02

I'm mid 20's.
I'm not sure... I'm trying to be vague and impersonal here. I am okay either way, I've always wanted children but not in this situation. (Sounds crazy but my circumstances have changed A LOT in the past 24 hours - nevermind the past few weeks) I know we should have used protection but things are rarely so simple! Things have gone tits up massively.

OP posts:
Noonooyou · 23/04/2019 13:51

Op don't beat yourself up. I am such a pro protection at all times but I've had my fair share of stupid one night stands while drunk in the past. Some with and some without protection. I then grew up and realised how lucky I am. Which is why I always try to encourage people to use protection, but never judge.
Get a test today , you are 2 weeks late judging by your usual cycle.

ISpeakJive · 23/04/2019 13:58

I know we should have used protection but things are rarely so simple

Yes they bloody well are! He uses a fucking condom! It is VERY simple!
