Help! Tesco Delivery issue

Ordered a delivery from Tesco on the flexi saver for 7-11pm tonight. More than enough money in my account for the order. Got the specific time text (10-11pm for me) which usually means it’s all gone through. Had a missed call from a mobile number after - no voicemail. After searching it online it appears it was Tesco. I’ve called the number back multiple times and no answer. Bit shitty really! I don’t know which store my orders come from so can’t call them directly and the main bit is probably shut now anyway. I keep checking my bank to no avail, they’ve still not taken it out! So worried they’ll cancel it and I’ll not get the shopping. I don’t know what to do!

What does it say when you log in to your account?

Phone head office with a copy of your order number and they’ll look into it for you.

Yeah, check the app/website. It might have just been a call to ask about the delivery slot or something.

Probably just the driver asking if he can come early? Agree with Mustard - call the main customer services line for deliveries and see...

The order is confirmed and shows like all the others on my app. No emails aside from me updating the basket. Confused as to why they didn’t leave a voicemail. They usually take payment when I receive a text on the day and it’s been 5 hours since then. Does anyone have any experience of them cancelling an order last minute? Convinced they were calling to say they couldn’t deliver because bank holiday etc

Just phone customer services and ask them, none of us know!

It sounds to me like it is coming but as it is a bank holiday the payment isn't showing as having gone through yet.

My Tesco order arrived several hours ago. The money is still in the bank

It's a bank holiday though. Probably just not showing up as having gone through yet. I paid for a takeaway on Friday night by card and it's still showing on my banking app as pending

Tesco grocery orders usually show as leaving my account about 2 days later.

Sometimes the driver will call me to check if it's ok to deliver earlier than planned? Maybe it's that. They do usually leave a message though.

Took almost an hour to get an answer and my order was cancelled. They didn’t leave a voicemail and I was busy at work, hence ordering a late delivery. I called back 4 times and it rang out every time. I have a slight feeling I was ignored on purpose so less work on a bank holiday! More than enough money in the bank so definitely an issue with their systems, not the first time I’ve experienced it either! Won’t be using them again and it’s a shame as they’ve always been quite good. Shocked that the customer support refused to acknowledge that I didn’t even receive a voicemail
