What type of suncream for DC?

Starting to plan our holiday abroad (Canaries) for the May half term, we DC age nearly 2 and 5. Bit of a boring question but what type of sun lotion do people find easier for their DC? I usually get lotion but wondering if sprays or roll-ons might be easier for applying at the beach/pool? Thanks

I use sprays for both mine (8yo and 2yo). They can sometimes go a bit bitty though, not sure why!

Dd is 5 and i use an aerosol one factor 50 usually asda as it has 5* uva too

The Boots swim one in a spray. Apply in the morning, and whenever DD has come out of the pool and dried off.

I did lotion for years, but the spray one isn't as thick so doesn't leave a white layer (factor 30).

Oh, and apply before they get dressed so you don't miss bits around underarms and bum.

I really like the ones that come in a trigger spray bottle rather than a push down pump spray. Very quick and easy to apply, nivea do one and as a bonus it's white cream rather than that sickly green colour!

I got an Aldi one this week as I happened to pop in - a spray one which turned out to be absolutely brilliant. It's clear. They'd sold out of factories 50 so ended up with factor 30. A few parent friends borrowed some for their kids and commented how not sticky / easy to spray it was. Only downside was getting sand stuck to the spray bit but if you don't let your kids bury it in the sand I'm sure that's easy to avoid.

Thanks everyone for your replies, I definitly like the idea of a spray one with trigger bottle
