If you had to choose..?

To be permanently uncomfortably hot, or uncomfortably cold, which would you choose? This would be round the clock and not affected by what clothes you're wearing.

Hot.

I’m not a ‘hot’ person and feel the cold and hate being cold so avoid it as much as possible.

BlueBrush · 22/04/2019 16:00

Cold.

When I'm too cold, I'm unhappy, but when I'm too hot, I'm grumpy as well.

Magmatic80 · 22/04/2019 16:00

Cold.

HollyBen · 22/04/2019 16:04

Cold! I live abroad where temp is around 30 degrees ALL THE TIME. I am a constant sweaty mess. If you are too cold you can put on layers. If you are too got there isn't much you can do

Youngandfree · 22/04/2019 16:05

Hot

DramaAlpaca · 22/04/2019 16:05

Cold.

pollywollydoodler · 22/04/2019 16:22

Cold, I have MS and my body shuts down in moderate heat

hidinginthenightgarden · 22/04/2019 16:42

Hot!
I hate being cold.

Petalflowers · 22/04/2019 16:43

Cold, because you can always put more clothes to get warm. If you are hot, it’s harder to cool down.

BlueMerchant · 22/04/2019 16:44

Cold.

JoinTheDots · 22/04/2019 16:44

Cold. I hate sweating. HATE it.

NoSauce · 22/04/2019 16:50

Cold for sure. You can layer up or grab a water bottle to warm up.

ineedaknittedhat · 22/04/2019 16:53

Being too hot makes me very very unhappy. I'd rather be too cold because at least you can add clothing.

FiremanKing · 22/04/2019 16:59

I read it that the op says the addition of clothes wouldn’t matter you would still be uncomfortably cold.

Have I read it wrong or have the other posters above?

gamerwidow · 22/04/2019 17:00

Cold if it’s artificial heat, hot if it’s sunshine.
Having the heating up too high makes me feel sick and irritable but I love being out in the sunshine and summer is my favourite season.

isthistoonosy · 22/04/2019 17:06

Hot, when I'm cold it hurts.

cellibabies · 22/04/2019 21:07

I'd definitely choose cold if I could just add layers. Being too hot makes me miserable and fairly useless! Not sure if I could cope with being cold all the time if adding layers made no difference but maybe you'd get used to it? At least I wouldn't be a sweaty red-faced mess and might get a few things done. Sorry for the random question, I was just pondering it while sweaty and uncomfortable in the car earlier. I really hope we don't have another summer like last year, I found it absolutely miserable.

Hot. I get sleepy when I’m cold: no survival instinct.

Crunchymum · 22/04/2019 22:43

Cold = you can add as many layers as you need + put on the heating + cuddle up to kids or pets or partners.

Hot = you can take off one layer and sit under a fan that blows hot air about.
