Large pidgeon just sitting in my garden, my two cats circling 😩... It walks away when I approach when I try and touch it, but doesn't seem able or willing to fly... I am presently guarding it, tea towel in hand waiting to scoop to safety 
Am I fighting a losing battle? I need to attend to the fish fingers...
