Loop of flesh on vagina wall - what the hell??

Possibly a bit TMI but....

This is my 3rd month using a mooncup and all has been ok so far up until yesterday.

I went to the loo to empty it and had a bit of difficulty removing it. After a bit of rummaging I discovered that the stem was poking through a loop of flesh Envy and stuck!

What the fuck?!

It wasn't painful at all but a bit scary. I could feel a ring of flesh around the base of the cup and there was no way it was coming through!

I had visions of having to ask DH to come and help remove it on day 2 of my period after a couple of bank holiday barbecue beers at my folks house or go and seek some sort of medical help.

Luckily, I was able to relax, push it a bit further in, unhook it and remove as normal.

It's totally freaked me out.
Does this sound possible?

I've had 2 vaginal births with some tearing. Could this be a leftover birthing injury?

Arg that sounds scary! I imagine it must be improper stitching after your tearing. Perhaps removing the nubbin at the Base of the cup would help?

Yes, I've trimmed it but I'll cut it off completely.

I'm a bit wary about using it again, even though I know there's no huge problem as I was able to eventually remove it.

What I am concerned about is if there's a risk of it ripping if DH inadvertently hooks in during sex!! Ouch!

I'm also wondering if I completely imagined it, and if this is actually possible to have a complete loop of flesh? Shock

I have a loop of skin which was the remnants of my hymen.

Ah, that would make sense!

How did you discover it? Has it caused you any problems?

Yes, I've trimmed it but I'll cut it off completely.

Oh Jesus, I didn't read the post before this, totally misinterpreted what you'd trimmed and I think my vagina just completely closed off. Shock

It was so long ago to be honest. The only time I can really think of pain is when a long hair off my head somehow made it inside me and looped around and knotted. I simply had an itch and found this hair and started to pull. It wouldn't budge but omg the pain. The hair gave way in the end but I will never forget that pain.
