What to do with nutritional yeast?

I bought some today for the first time. I need it for a pasta recipe but is there anything else that I can make with it(besides shovelling some in my mouth, which I keep doing every time I enter the kitchen.) TIA

Do you find it tasty?!

It was fashionable to add to orange juice with a raw egg in the 1970s Guzzle down as a health tonic (blech). Then fears about Candida became the fashion & yeast went out of favour.

I use it in quantity to make vegan mac n cheez - I wonder if that's what you're doing? Otherwise it's nice sprinkled on soup or basically anything savoury.

I use it in place of cheese. In macaroni cheese, on pasta and on homemade pizza.

Sprinkle on salads

I sprinkle it on buttered toast and grill it for another half a minute (or make a sandwich and ram it in to the toaster until it's got and gooey).

Also add it to lentil/vegetable soup.

hot

I do like the taste. I haven't tried it before and the flavour is more complex and stranger than I expected but I love it, hence the pinch I'm having every time I go into the kitchen.(I must stop that)

The recipe isn't a vegan mac and cheese recipe but that sounds like a must try.As are the other ideas. I'm slowly trying to go vegan so it certainly won't go to waste but it's such an unfamiliar ingredient for me that I was unsure what else to do with it.

Thank you all so much for the ideas.

I bought it for a Madeleine Olivia recipe for creamy garlic mushroom pasta. i'd better make it soon, before I find that I've eaten all of my nutritional yeast

I sprinkle it in all of my main meals! I love it 😀

All of them? I'm having a teriyaki tofu stir fry tomorrow. Now I'm wondering if that might work.(Probably not but I'm tempted to try)
