I've been using nutrisse no 5 mocha brown but it's a tad too light so today I used 4 & 1/2 medium dark brown but it's made my hair almost black!! I hate it :(

I'm planning on using a colour remover but can someone please advise on a colour that's in between those 2 please?

Sadly I can't afford a salon visit as I'm on maternity leave.

I would try either:

Or if you are going to strip the colour from your hair what about a semi-permanent colour to give your hair a rest after stripping it? It will also give you time to decide on the right/another shade.

Wouldn't 4.15 be darker than 4 & 1/2? I'm so bloody confused and fed up with my hair. I hate it even more today.

Maybe a semi permanent would be a good idea for a while. I just want a nice colour, it can't be that hard can it?!

How long ago did you dye it? My hair looks almost black straight after I've dyed it but lightens after a couple of washes!

Washing it a few times will help... head and shoulders shampoo is supposed to take out colour quicker. I dyed my hair darker than usual recently and after a few washes looks lighter.
