Firstly, apologies for the frivolous title, as I'm not feeling frivolous about it!

How do people cope with all the shitty stuff going on in the world at present, with (for me) examples being Brexit the rise of far right politics in general and topped off by my late reading of the EA report that the UK will be facing water shortages within 25yrs.

Whilst I know (for environment issues) there are lots of actions individuals can take - a lot of which I already do but of course could do more - there is so much which will effect us all that me as an individual can't stop....

I guess my question is how do I stop feeling so miserable about the state and future of the UK and the world? It just feels so bloody bleak!

(Ps sorry for the Easter weekend downer)

Put your logical sensible head on. There will not be water shortages significant enough to warrant concern. We're not exactly an island in significant drought nor will we be in 2050. The report only says some areas of the UK may have some shortages but all that will mean will be a hosepipe ban for short periods of the year and people being a little more careful. We've had that that before. The report also discusses the amount of water loss/waste and this can obviously be improved upon before any issues. I never worry about stuff like this. Do what you can to lessen your environmental impact as part of your daily life. Panic not.
