What colour divan should I get?

My bed is ancient and there are some sales on so looking to replace it. I want a divan. My duvet sets are always purple of some description, generally dark purple. My current divan is the old ones that have a horrible pattern that you need to cover the base with a valence. New bed I won’t need a valence hoorah! Which colour should I go for which would go with any bedding? The headboard is currently a creamy/beige and works ok with all bedding Iv had so far. Any suggestions?

No advice, but have you seen any nice purple bedding recently??? I'm going to be in the market soon, and cant find anything I like.

I have one from Argos which is a deep purple, sort of satin look but is nicer than satin that has sequins on the front. They don’t sell it anymore but I found one on eBay outlet so have a spare in my cupboard when this needs replacing as I also really struggle to find a decent purple one I like!
