Which one of you is leaving reviews on supermarkets??

Just googled my local Lidl opening times and there are over 100 reviews on google. Most of them are along the lines of "good shop, bought some food".

Now I know we all have different ideas of a good time, but who on earth does a food shop then hops on Google to leave a review?

If your Google maps app notifies you and asks, you might comply?

What amuses me is how frustrating it must be for businesses.
You would maybe imagine a good experience of customer service would be 5 stars.
But it isn't as ecstatic an experience as visiting the Taj mahal so it gets 3 stars from eleventy thousand people.

Oh trip advisor is another level of crazy sometimes, I actually love reading those.. but Lidl? Maybe if Sue on till 3 spat on my croissant I'd be inclined..

I think it must be the same people who get emails from Amazon which say

"You recently bought X item, can you answer this question about it?"

And the answer the other customer's question with

"I don't know, I bought it as a gift and didn't open it."

Maybe Google or wherever is asking them what they thought and they don't realise that it's a casual suggestion, not a legal demand

Maybe they are hoping to win the £100 voucher often offered as an incentive to rate "your shopping experience".

I went to a networking event at google when they were launching google local and they had us sit there and write some reviews.
Got some nice freebies and dinner in return.
