The benefits of not doing your own nails- lighthearted.

Hi everyone every 3 weeks I go to a nail Alan and spend £10 on a manicure.
My own nails.
Not much choice of colour but I like them and think my nails are always decent.
M mum was bemoaning how much I spend asking why I didn't save money and do my own.
Well today being sunny I decided to paint my own the nails.
Never again!
Somehow I ended up with nail polish all over my carpet, despite the fact I painted them over a plastic cover.
Lots of scrubbing with vanish has removed the stain, phew.
So I came out side to paint the second coat and ended up kicking a plant tub.
My nails look sh** and my planter is covered in nail polish.
This will be the last time I ever attempt to paint them myself.I
Even dh said bloody hell just have them done at the salon.

I'm not usually one for painting my nails (I chew my fingers so not usually in a fit state), but after having a go this week for the first time in years I can absolutely see the attraction of just getting them done professionally!

They look ok but the faff! The many coats, the wandering around like a preying mantis while they dry, the patterns I managed to imprint into them hours later after I thought they were long dry! Gah!
