Baby feels hot but no fever?

DD is 5 months, her arms and legs feel quite warm but her tummy and back feel normal. I’ve checked her temperature and she hasn’t got a fever. She’s in a shortsleeve vest and thin (1 tog) grobag. Is this worrying?

It's a warm evening here. What's the room temp?

Cardiffclare · 19/04/2019 00:00

Thank you, m0reginplease- grow egg says 21.4 deg.

She’s probably just keeping cool then.

Thank you, didn’t know if something might be wrong.

I normally check the back of their necks if their hands or faces seem warm and then take a temp if that’s hotter than I’d expect. If you’re using a digital ear thermometer it might be worth taking it twice as I often get a lower reading the first time with mine. If that’s all normal, I’m sure she’s fine.

Thanks you, her chest and back of neck feel normal. I’m using a digital underarm thermometer, checked three times and no fever.
