Recommendations for herbs/supplements for anxiety (short term relief)? Any that you have personal experience that work would be great.

Not for taking on a long term basis but for just before stressful situations.

Aconite or Arg Nit, both homeopathic remedies. Depends on type of anxiety (fear of known things or general anxiousness) but Aconite worked amazingly well for me. Give Helios Homeopathy a call, they can consult over the phone for minor ailments and give great advice, for free. They post medicines out first class. Best £4.50 I ever spent!

@whipstitchandwhiskey

Thanks a lot. Do you mean this product:

?

How long does it take to work?

I'm more asking for performance anxiety etc.

Yes that’s the type but you might need a different dosage to 30c, which is why you really need to speak with a trained homeopath like the ones they have on the Helios phone lines. I can only speak for myself but I only needed two doses and it totally sorted me for months! I was amazed.

@whipstitchandwhiskey
Do you know which number is best to call for helios? I've tried the 0207 london number and the call's been going for 27 minutes so far and no one's picked up yet :/

Try Kalms, you can get them from any chemist or big supermarket. They're all natural (Valerian) not addictive and really take the edge off stress. They've got me through some very tough times.

Good luck. Flowers

Magnesium supplements and Vitamin B complex, plus Vitamin D if you don’t get much outside time.

Ashwaghanda has massively helped me

Nothing herbal works for me. I believe it's placebo effect.
Homeopathy (not herbal) is rubbish - read what Ben Goldacre says about it.
