Why does everything come at once...

DH is self employed. Rarely takes time off. I work part-time term time only. Kids are off school and we had loads planned for the long weekend. This is the first time DH has had more than a weekend off since Christmas. However we have now all got a violent tummy bug. It hasn't hit DH or DS1 yet but it went through 4 of us pretty quickly so only a matter of time really. We are both so knackered. We really need a rest and instead we get to deal with puke whilst puking ourselves.
At the beginning of the year our boiler broke so we had to use all our savings to replace it. We now have no savings. Yesterday my car decided to break down. It's currently looking like it's not fixable. I have absolutely no idea how we are going to afford a new car.
Why is life always so fucking difficult!

Sod’a Law!

It’s true though, when something goes wrong it’s usually accompanied by other things!

The Universe conspiring against us I guess!

You have my sympathies

Yep! Life always kicks you when you are down!
I broke my iPhone a few months ago. Turns out apple are lying bastards and the iphone7 is NOT waterproof after a few months. In the same week I lost my engagement ring and someone drove into the back of my car leaving me with whiplash injuries I now need physio for 😡

Yup. Right in the middle of my slack period with no money coming in, my car needed rear discs and pads, then the front ones, then a new spring, then front droplinks. £600 in ten days, offset against £200 in income.
