What are you doing for Easter?

It's school holidays where we live and my DM has very kindly agreed to have my DC's this week. My DH and I had planned to drive (long distance) and join them on Good Friday then bring them home Easter Monday. We also have a cat and usually ask a friend to drop in to feed her but they're away so thought we would bring her with us for a change. Meanwhile I ended up being asked to work last minute (emergency) on Good Friday in a location a plane trip away in the other direction to DM's house. DH was originally very understanding, however he's now started the long car journey with just him and the cat and they're both miserable! I feel terrible I can't be there with him but I don't have much choice and will join him at DM's as soon as I finish work tonight. Not at all how we planned to spend our Good Friday! Tell me your Easter weekend plans and bonus points if they're a little odd like mine.

Tomorrow: Chill day after a busy week. DH is doing some painting, DC have requested a "movie day", I've got an order to collect, but apart from that, nothing.

Saturday: Breakfast with the Easter Bunny! Then probably the local country park.

Sunday: Family are going out with the ILs and I'm going to work.

Monday: Family day, I'll probably do a lamb roast and we'll spend the day playing.

Tomorrow is 'wine Friday' so hopefully will be going to my friends for a good matter and a glass or 5!
Saturday - probably making cakes with DC
Sunday - DP has decided he wants to go to British Superbike (he wanted me to go - I'd be bored out my skull) so an waster egg hunt with the kiddies it is (he also wants some eggs left - told him he gets to enjoy watching bikes race so we're enjoying the chocolate!)
Monday - probably film day with the DC, along with answering why there is no chocolate in the house no doubt!

Bank holiday weekends are great for a spot of DIY. I like the idea of a movie day! Very relaxing, I think we should try and do more of that. I'm looking forward to seeing the DC's tonight as I haven't seen them since Monday. We are having a big extended/blended family lunch on Sunday and no doubt an Easter egg hunt or two.
