Is there a way to turn off autopilot?

I swear I'm getting worse I can't remember what I've done half the time. I live my life on autopilot. My mind wanders next minute I can't remember how I got here or what I just did.
For example taking my makeup off upstairs, focused back in downstairs and couldn't remember if I even finished taking my make up off or not. It's becoming a problem, I feel like I'm wasting half my life Blush

Are you just day dreaming or do you think something more serious is going on?

How old are you?

I found that I struggled with everything when I was peri menopausal- I literally spent most of my time looking for misplaced things or trying to remember what needed doing

It's just daydreaming really, my mind will wonder to different things and I'll zone out but it's annoying when I can't remember if I just did something or not I wish I could stay focused on the task I'm doing
