Bastard driver

Had a training seminar at work HQ in another city today.

Decided to park in the naice multi storey car park instead of the more dilapidated one, even though it’s more expensive, as I fancied the bigger spaces, better lighting, better pay facilities and feeling less like you were about to be jumped by a junkie.

Parked on the end of a row with a big hatched area at my passenger side. Come back to find someone has hit my car - on the passenger side - and left no details.

Thankfully a witness got his registration and being the naice car park there’s cctv.

Bit of a bugger getting insurance and police involved though.

Wtf is wrong with people?

KateyKube · 18/04/2019 17:52

Someone did that to me a few weeks ago. No cctv. Twat Sad

Friend of mine came home to find half her wall demolished and her gate broken. Checked her cctv and found a massive horse box had tried to turn in her road, backed right into her wall, then just drove off without trying to leave insurance details.
There are some bad ( in both senses) drivers around.

I've had the exact same thing happen to me, current situation is that the other driver keeps saying it wasn't him despite having a witness plus CCTV, although in fairness it isn't the best CCTV but clearly shows his number plate plus the manoeuvres made which ties up with the witness statement.

We should be going to court soon, I just can't see how he can wriggle out of it, but people who damage other people's cars and don't leave notes will try everything going! Good luck.

I've just remembered I have a dashcam (new acquisition) and while it doesn't show the impact as it doesn't activate till then it does show him getting out to look at the damage and then drive off, so he can't deny it's him.

Good! Hope he doesn't deny it! Should be quite a straight forward claim then, I don't think the police will be too bothered as it's probably on private land that's what they said to me anyway

I bought myself a dash cam as well after that incident as well, luckily I've not had need to get anything off it....yet!
