OH has dug out his old trusty shorts - is he the only one.

He is so keen to get out of full length, I haven`t the heart to tell him that his short white hairy legs sticking out of the bottom of too long shorts because he is a short arse is not the best look. He is as proud as punch to be back in them Blush but I guess we all have to start somewhere.

Well, I'm not in the UK, but it's full on shorts weather this week. Except for the swimming instructor, who was teaching in trousers in 35C heat this evening.....

Myusernameismud · 18/04/2019 16:00

DH is the opposite, 6'4 with endless legs but Scottish so very pale and freckly. We're off to Cornwall tomorrow and he's got out his long-on-anyone-else-but-borderline-inappropriate-on-him shorts.

I might forget to pack them...

TwistedBiscuit · 18/04/2019 16:01

ExH is the same bless him. He’s not short, but he has the white skinniest hairy legs and the baggiest black shorts. All suggestions that it might be time to acquire a new, more flattering pair of shorts go unheeded 🤦‍♀️

On the plus side, I suppose it’s better for the environment?

Iwantacampervan · 18/04/2019 16:01

Summery dress with bare legs for me this moning and now shorts - my legs are not white and hairy (but they are short)!

TwistedBiscuit · 18/04/2019 16:03

Oh I have super-white legs, but I don’t wear baggy black shorts that emphasise their whiteness and skinniness Grin I’m not ashamed of my skin colour, but I prefer my clothes to be somewhat flattering Wink

In our family shorts don't go away. Ds11 and ds7 have been wearing them to school solidly all winter. And wear them at weekends when they can get away with it. OH goes between full on thermals or shorts.

MaMisled · 18/04/2019 16:28

In the sunny SE here, DH has shorts and sun hat on. Hes gardening and just proudly showed me the sweat patches inside his hat! Eeewwww!

FranklySonImTheGaffer · 18/04/2019 19:38

DH has lovely legs and his shorts look nice on him BUT he wears them pretty much constantly from March to November - so I'll be wearing jeans, top, boots and coat (and sometimes a scarf) and he's in shorts and hoody / rugby jersey 🙄

PhillipeFellope · 18/04/2019 19:41

My dad wears shorts March - September, DS is 2. 5 and had been in his on and off for a while too. Grin When it's cracking the flags I'll whip out the fake tan.

SimonJT · 18/04/2019 19:41

There were lots of guys at the park today in f*ck boy shorts and vests

PrincessMaryaBolkonskaya · 18/04/2019 19:42

Oldest teen DS wears shorts all year in the house. DP has his trusty shorts out though. The ones he’s wearing today are a vast improvement on the ones I managed to ‘lose’ over the winter (hideous cargo type things with loads of pockets that would add hours onto every trip out looking for keys and wallet)

Ahhhhh that was a cathartic rant. I shan’t miss those shorts.

The crocs have not appeared yet to complete the ensemble Blush

DH was yesterday. Because we were away and he fell in the sea while trying to take a photo and didn't have spare trousers. He also had to wear his slippers for the rest of the holiday.Grin

Ds has never been out of them though

justasking111 · 18/04/2019 21:29

Bet that was cold witchend
