Dd and I both remember an acrostic poem where the subject of the poem misunderstands the instruction to write an acrostic poem and asks something along the lines of "What do you mean by 'a cross stick'?"
But we can't remember enough to find it! Does anyone else know this poem, or is it a figment of both our imaginations?
