Anyone have a ballpark figure for a headstone? I can’t find anything online other than call for a quote Sad
I’m trying to sort things at a distance and it’s depressing and difficult. X

At least £1000 probably more.

Knittedfairies · 18/04/2019 11:35

£800 4 years ago.

Correction - ignore me. That was for a clean-up and a name added, so my post was not at all helpful - sorry!

I think my DFs was about £2-2.5k for a fairly modest headstone and burial of his ashes in the crematorium.

There's such an enormous range of plot size and headstone style. Some of the others at the crematorium are much more elaborate and must have cost many thousands.

But there's no rush. It was over a year before DM decided what she wanted to do with his ashes and she just kept them at home in the meantime.

Sorry for your loss Flowers.

I think my dad's cost c£1000 about 6 years ago for a smallish one. Could be more/less depending on how big, what materials, how much lettering etc.

This is a link to a brochure (with prices) from a company near me: nettlebankmemorials.co.uk/our-brochure-with-prices/

I just searched on’grave headstones costs’ and got this website. www.gravestoneshq.co.uk/ If you scroll down the page it says ‘average is £800-1200’ depending on what you want.

I’ve just tried the web address on my pp and it doesn’t work! Not understanding why not as the address is correct. You could try the search term, as the Gravestone HQ website looks ok and has lots of useful information.

Thank you all so much.
I’m very sorry you’ve all gone through this miserable process too Flowers

ilovepixie · 20/04/2019 22:37

My dads was just over £800 2 years ago. But different areas of the country vary.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 20/04/2019 22:39
