Best schools in Bearsden & Milngavie?

Hello there, my husband recently got a job in Gartcosh and we’re looking to relocate to Bearsden or Milngavie around the end of July. We have 2 daughters (6 yrs and 4yrs in May). I need to be close to Glasgow as I’ll be working there 2-3 days a week. Any recommendations on best schools and nurseries to consider in either Bearsden or Milngavie? Any recommendations on where to start? I think we’re looking into renting first for a couple of months before we buy a house. It’s a little bit daunting at the moment so any advice, places to avoid, recommendation, etc. would be much appreciated. X

Both Milngavie & Bearsden have particularly good schools - although I do understand that Milngavie Primary School is thought to be the one of the strongest in East Dumbartonshire.

Are you relocating from quite a distance to Glasgow?

Commuting from Bearsden or Milngavie to Gartcosh would not be pleasant, afaik there’s no straight road. Post on Scotsnet to get a better idea though.
