Get putty out of hair

DS decided to put putty in his hair Hmm and I was wondering if there's an easy way of getting it out?

Does the oil trick really work?

Proper putty or play putty?

I don't know why I'm asking because I don't have an answer either way. I'd give oil a go though.

Slime putty thing.

I'm just happy he didn't do it to me or the cat. Though the cat would grumble less than he is.

I would go with oil too. Or peanut. Butter.

Went with a straitening lotion thing in the end as I can then wash it tomorrow as I'm beyond done tonight Grin. It worked!

Loads of conditioner and comb it through, it will go harder and you might think it's not working but this makes it easier to comb out...it takes ages but works well... I did this last week when my son got a lump of silly putty stuck in his hair, just before the school run!

Just jumping on to add that I feel your pain...my 6 year old dd with LONG hair got her 3 year old sister to throw an entire packet of Bunch Em's (like tiny round sticklebricks for us old schoolers) to her, which she caught IN HER HAIR, swooshing around, thinking it was the most hilarious thing in the world....I had to take her to hairdressers, who had the patience of a saint to comb them out, I thought she would need her hair cropped to her head...there were about 50 of them in her hair in the end. The Bunch Em's now live on a high shelf!

I actually suggested I'll cut it out as it was in a tuft of hair that always grows faster, but DS was appalled and asked me to keep pulling HmmConfused.

This is after Sunday when he managed to badly tangle a cat toy in his hair at PaH.

WD40 is your friend for this! It’s amazing what it can do.
