Do you think NDA`s are being abused. Ban them?

NDA`s are something I am not comfortable why are they needed and how should they be used.

I had one when I'd been discriminated against. It worked for me solely because they'd worn me down to the point I couldn't fight any more, so a pay off in return for me keeping quiet was welcome closure.

They are overused and it's another means of asserting control over workers. But the alternative of going to tribunal is very very painful for many people.

I disagree with them but they are totally standard. All public body employers use them when settling employment tribunal cases. It means they don't have to stop discriminating.

It is an abuse of power in some cases and should be looked at by an outside body for verification.

I agree they should not be used as they prevent organisations from changing and learning from their mistakes.
