I wish parents would put kids in long sleeves at softplays.

At a softplay with my daughter and I'm watching the kids on the slides. Some of them have short sleeves tops on. Their skin on the plastic squeaks and I bet it bloody hurts.

They get so sweaty in those places! My son dresses himself but has been taught to good his arms as I have traumatic memories myself of slide burn!

Are they reacting like it hurts or are they smiling and laughing? If they're grinning and going on the slides over and over again, I'm sure they're fine. Wink

Most are laughing TBF Mindy but some are squealing in pain and crying with friction burns.

I once saw a little boy catch his bare arm on the slide, he kind of went over on it and it broke clean. He stood up and his arm was just dangling!

The place I used to take my DDs when they were little insisted upon long sleeves. If the children came in a short sleeved top they were given fabric arm protector things to wear.

In all the years my ds has been going to soft play he has never injured himself on a slide and he loves slides. It never occurred to me that he should wear long sleeves. I don't think his arms touched the slide.
