Easter Sunday dessert ideas?

For 4 adults and 2 dc.

One is dairy intolerant but I can work around that. Dh not keen on chocolate cake or carrot cake, I'm not wild about lemony desserts or cheesecake.

Can anyone come up with anything more exciting than fruit salad?!

Nigella’s orange polenta cake is bloody delicious www.nigella.com/recipes/lemon-polenta-cake

It’s GF and DF to boot. I usually serve with a maple-vanilla creme fraiche and put fresh blueberries in the batter which is lovely.

Oh it’s lemon cake, but I use orange instead. V good!

Zabaglione?

With roasted pears with maple syrup or poached dried apricots.

That cake looks good @mustardscreams

Isn't zabiglione made with wine? Does it get cooked enough for the alcohol to boil off? I like the idea of roasted pears.

I'm making a massive pavlova with strawberries, raspberries, blueberries & kiwis.

I'm doing individual treacle tarts, shop bought cases of course because I'm not a kitchen goddess. Served with either clotted cream or custard.

I usually do a selection of desserts for Easter just cos its is Easter, and it looks all pretty and special if arranged nicely, I usually do a traybake type of coffee and walnut , cut into squares and it lasts a few days, I usually do meringue nests with cream ( can you work around that) decorated with mini chocolate eggs and fresh fruit, kids always go for these especially if I add a little cocoa into meringue mixture and they become chocolate nests, again they last so I can make the nests ahead and just fill on day, and I usually do something like a simple Madera with white lemon icing and decorate with Easter ribbon or flowers, but you could do any flavour, again as its too many deserts for us that day but the madeira will keep well

So much chocolate in the house on Easter Sunday I never want to use it in a dessert!
Apple crumble and custard or ice cream. (non-dairy versions in your case).
Or a fruity pie, or a big dairy free trifle.
