Once Statutory sick pay is no longer able to paid. If esa is then claimed does this mean your employment is now over? Will esa definitely be paid when no longer entitled to statutory sick pay?

ESA can be claimed when you are still employed, no requirement for your employment to be 'over' to claim it.

It will be paid if you meet the ESA eligibility criteria which you can see on the gov.uk website.
